RECRUITMENT REWARDS

Recruitment Pot

To encourage people to recruit raiders, we are implementing a recruitment incentive program.

  • All members with a rank of Officer, Right Hand Man, Raid Leader, Second in Command or Overlord will pay guild dues of 5g per month for one character to a recruitment pot.  All other ranks are welcome to donate 5g per month to the pot.  Additional donations in 5g increments are optional for all ranks.  This pot will be split up each month amongst all members who donated money to the pot and recruited players matching that month's recruitment criteria.  Your chances of winning increase with the number of eligible players you recruit a month, not the amount of gold you donate to the pot.  Donations and dues must be paid no later than the 15th of the month each month.
  • All gold donated to the pot will go to the guild bank donated for this purpose, Evil Inc.  Send your money to Orcla, Mos's herb alt, and she will deposit it into the guild bank for the pot.  Please include a short note.  If you would like to have a bank alt in the other guild to donate your own gold, please speak with Nampy or Mosrael.
  • The incentives for that month end on the last day of the month, and the pot is split up no later than 5 days into the new month.
  • The monthly incentives will be posted the last week of the previous month.  See next section.

Eligibility for Rewards

To be eligible for the recruitment rewards, the recruiter must:

  • be rank of Soldier or above
  • have donated at least 5g to the recruitment pot for the current month before the deadline
  • recruited at least one player that meets both the general and monthly recruitment requirements
  • said recruit has received at least one (1) promotion by the last day of the recruitment month
General recruit eligibility
  • Only recruits level 70 or above will be eligible for the rewards program.  Any recruits below level 70, although nice to have, will not give you eligibility for the reward program.
  • Regular playtime is a must.  Raiders should be regular players who play at a minimum of 1 to 2 nights a week for a few hours each time.
  • Only recruits matching that month's recruit type will count toward your eligibility.
Monthly recruitment requirements
  • The last week of the preceding month, new recruitment requirements for the following month will be posted on the forums.  Only recruits that match these requirements will count toward your eligibility for the pot that month.

Promotions

Recruits will stay at Lemming rank until they have been through a Trial By Fire (TBF) or have survived for seven (7) days with regular game play (at least 2 significant login times, preferably active in guild chat and/or helping out).  This ensures that even people who are slow to help, have little time the week they join, or aren't level 70+ yet will still get a promotion.  Additional promotions are on a case-by-case basis and depend on a number of criteria: attitude, willingness to help others, play ability, etc, etc.

Trial By Fire (TBF)

Within 3 days of applying or joining, all recruits level 70+ will go through a "trial by fire" consisting of as many guild members as possible, and at least one Officer or higher rank.  A TBF is to determine a player's strengths (both in gear and ability) and to allow them some time to get to know other members of the guild.  If a recruit doesn't like us or we don't like them, there's no reason for them to join.  We do like idiots and assholes, they just have to be LIKEABLE idiots and assholes (looks at Nampy).

  • TBFs will be required for all level 70 and above and/or those who plan to raid with us and will be optional for all other levels.  When a current member reaches level 70 and has not been through a TBF, they must go through a TBF within five (5) days.  If the current member does not plan to raid with us, they may decline the TBF.  If they choose to raid with us at a later time, they must go through a TBF.
  • TBFs will consist of dungeons or raids (heroic or regular) of an appropriate level for the character.  Examples:
    • Level 70 - Heroic Outland dungeons the character can get into (Ramps is probably the first Heroic that all characters have the reputation to get into) or BC raids that can easily be planned in the time frame of 3 days.
    • Level 75 - Level 78-80 Northrend dungeons
    • Level 80 - Heroic Northrend dungeons (if gear permits) or level 80 dungeons
  • TBF instances will be determined by the guild members assisting the group, and gear should be a factor in which dungeon a TBF takes place in.  There is no reason an under geared level 80 should be taken into a heroic HoL.  Please try to choose a dungeon that is challenging for the recruit/member, but not impossible.
  • TBFs are not optional for raiders.  If you refuse a TBF, you will not raid with us.  If you change your mind later, please let Mos or Mon know and we'll get one set up for you.
  • Only one (1) TBF is required, as long as there is at least one Officer or higher rank present.
  • Once a TBF has been completed, all Officers or higher that took part in the TBF must post in this forum.   A nice description of what the recruit/member need improvements in and what they do well is required.   This will be PM'd to all involved (including the recruit/member) for recording purposes, and will give the TBF members a chance to communicate about the group and the TBF itself.
  • After a successful TBF, the recruit can be given the rank of Soldier.
